A visual identity, art direction and graphic design for Julkku student magazine 2025-2026 promotional year.

The branding was far-reaching including everything from promotional attire, to brand colors, photography, social media assets and merch including sunglasses, t-shirts, keychains and stickers. The ethos of the brand was Julkku 1978: a bright, lively, retro and all in all fun vibe, just like the student celebration of Wappu when the magazine is published.

“Twilight a Reaction” is a small book created during two courses in the Visual Communication Design Program: Typography & Publication.

The idea of the book was to research how two different mediums, a video transcription and lines from the actual Twillght movie can act in tandem in one book, and create a “two voice” publication where simutaneously two speakers exist at the same time. The left page includes lines from the movie while the right page is the commentators reaction. Sometimes the two speakers are speaking simutaneously.

Winter Satellite Workshop is the largest new space conference in the Nordics and Baltics.

As the graphic designer for the 2025 & 2026 editions, I was in charge of creating the visual identity, graphic design assets for social media, event photography and editing the aftermovie of the 2026 edition. For the visual identity of the event, we focused on creating simple assets and differentiating our brand from other space conferences by focusing on clear typography, modern graphics and winter inspired elements.

Julkku Magazine is a biannual student humor magazine that was first published in 1978.

As the Artistic Director of the 2026 edition I was tasked with creating the visual identity of the magazine and designing clear layouts and fun illustrations with a team of around 30 editors.

A collection of various posters for different projects. The two posters on the right are inspired by a pillow book of Japanese writer Sei Shōnagon and explore legibility and illegibility. Made by combining clay and photoshop.

The poster on the left explores cultural appropriation and the theft of someone’s identity. The poster is a commentary on an art piece by Riikko Sakkinen that features a chocolate brand mascot who depicts a caricaturized version of Congolese person.

Aarrejahti (Treasure Hunt) is a short film combining psychological drama and satire.

As the graphic designer for the project,
I created the poster for the film, the title graphic and the end credits. The film is centred around a board game which served as the main inspiration for the poster.
